Funeral of a Bellringer was a 30 minute
programme broadcast on BBC Radio 3 in 2005 that recalls the ringing life of
the former Goldhanger Tower Captain, Bernard Mann. This 3 minute extract
begins with the late Rosemary Mann recalling Bernard's early life working
with his father Charles Mann, who was also the Tower Captain. Cyril Southgate then describes how he took on the role of Tower
Captain. Finally in these extracts, Ken Perry, Tower Captain from 1999 until
2014, gives advice and encouragement to very young ringers. |
